About
About The Best Pint
The Best Pint ranks pubs in UK and Irish cities on what's already been published about them. Right now that's 211 pubs across 8 cities, each one on our list because several guides, awards or locals agree on it.
Who writes it
Every guide is written by Tom Hart, our editor. "I go through everything that's been written about a city's pubs, from the newspaper lists and awards to what locals say on Reddit, and tell you which ones are worth your evening and why."
How it works
A pub gets on a list when several guides, awards or locals agree on it, and every page shows where its facts came from. Google stars only ever break a tie. Prices appear once they've been checked, with the date. And nobody pays to be listed or to move up, which is the whole point. The full scoring is on how we rank.
